STATE OF DBD MOBILE #6: RANK AND PRESTIGE

Updated: Mar 4

Hello People of the Fog,

It’s been a little while since you’ve heard from us, but we’ve been working on some very exciting updates! This week we rolled out some highly anticipated features, notably the Rank System, Prestige, and a new Map. We’ve also introduced a new way for players to engage with the game - our new customer support feature is filled with useful information and allows you to communicate issues or feedback with our team without leaving the game.

Once again, a big thank you to our Beta countries for all your valuable feedback and support. If you’re not part of the action yet, check to see if the Beta is available in your country: we currently have Beta tests open in Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Ireland, New Zealand, The Philippines, Mexico, Australia, and Germany.

Let’s take a closer look at the update!

Rank System

The Rank System on Mobile is very close to what you’re used to on PC/Console. Performing well in Trials will be reflected in your rank progression, awarding you a Rank number and corresponding border. Both the Killer role and Survivor role will have a separate Rank.

Your rank is based on how well you perform in your Trials. For Survivors, actions such as completing generators or helping other players will contribute to your Rank progression, while Killers are rewarded for actions such as slowing down Generator progress and sacrificing Survivors.

Please note: Rank will have a lesser impact on matchmaking during the Beta phase which might result in being placed in parties with rank disparities. This is in order to ensure the lowest possible queue times.

Prestige

Probably one of the most asked for features is Prestige, which we have finally rolled out this update. Each Character has a progression cap of Level 50. Once Level 50 is reached, the player has 2 choices:

1. Keep playing that Character and keep on unlocking more Perks (The Character Level will stay at 50)

2. Reset the Character progression to Prestige 1.

When a Character gets a Prestige Reset:

  • All Perk slots are locked.

  • The unlocked Perks are locked again.

  • Progression of all Perks is reset to Tier 1.

  • XP pool is reset to 0.

  • The unlocked Teachable Perks remain available for other Characters

Most importantly, Prestiging a Character unlocks exclusive cosmetics! For each Prestige reset (up to 3), you will unlock a piece of the Bloody cosmetic set to show off your progress.

New Map

You may have noticed that the Coldwind Farm Realm added last update was missing an iconic Map; over 300 stalks of corn later, Rotten Fields is now available as a playable Map!

Sorry, don't have a corny caption for this one.

In-Game Customer Support

As we’ve mentioned before, we are incredibly thankful for feedback, and it makes a huge impact in our development process. Admittedly, the system we’ve had in place to find information and ask questions through an external website was a bit tedious, so in the spirit of a good Mobile experience we’ve moved our Customer Support in-app. Here’s how it works:

In the Settings menu, click Help and Support in the bottom left corner to access the FAQ.

Each article is filed under the relevant category. Use the search bar to help filter down the articles.

If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us by clicking the Contact Us button in the top right.

We hope you’re as excited as we are about these new features; we can’t wait to hear your feedback. Thank you as always for your continuing support! We’ll see you soon in The Fog...
